Homecoming Float Committee
Grace UMC plans to have a float in the Homecoming Parade on October 1, 2010.  If you are interested in assisting with this project please contact the chairpersons, Blake and Linda Westerhold or the church office 527-4607.  David & Louise Weber, Phil & Peggy Warren, and Tom & CeeCee Kuretich have already volunteered to be on the committee.  Ideas, equipment, supplies & labor are all welcome.  The more the merrier!

Worship Schedule Change Begins September 5
Following attendance at the “How to Get More Members for Your Church” workshop by some of our leaders, our Worship Committee, in consultation with the Church Council, decided to make some changes in our worship schedule, on a trial basis.
     8:30 a.m. –   9:20 a.m. Traditional Service
     9:30 a.m. – 10:20 a.m. Christian Education
                        Classes, Fellowship, Pastoral Care
   10:30 a.m. – 11:20 a.m. Contemporary Service
The reason for the changes is to offer relevant worship to those outside the church that we are not currently reaching.  The purpose is to meet the needs of others, rather than focus on our own needs.  The primary change that you will notice is that we are flipping the order of the worship styles we currently employ, and we are intentionally offering an hour of educational opportunities and member care between the services.
